I grew up in Midland, MI and attended Michigan State University where I earned my Bachelor of Music Education. I played trumpet in the Spartan Marching Band and am a huge Michigan State fan. My first teaching job was at St. Gerard in Lansing, MI. My husband, Chris, and I got married in 2008 and moved to Cincinnati, OH where he completed a Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance. While living in Cincinnati, I taught music to Kindergarten- 8th grade at Our Lady of Grace School. Last year, we were most fortunate to find two teaching positions in the Lansing area where our beloved Michigan State is. Chris teaches Junior High and Beginning Band at DeWitt Public Schools.

In my spare time, I love to cook and am completely addicted to running. Although I won’t win a race anytime soon, I have completed three half marathons and a 25K. My husband and I have just purchased a house in East Lansing and love living within walking distance of Downtown and the beautiful campus of MSU. I am also starting work on my Master’s of Music Education at MSU this summer.  Go Green!
