Ms. Carol Blackwell moved into the Fowler community in 1994 and has been employed with Fowler Public Schools for sixteen years.  She is originally from east of Flint and attained her Professional Certification in Elementary Education after graduating from UM-Flint. Her continued education was with Central Michigan University with a concentration in early childhood education. She taught Kindergarten/Preschool for four years, 4th grade for three years and is currently teaching third grade. Third grade introduces a partnership and team teaching approach.  Through shared teaching strategies and an integrated curriculum, Waldron offers highly qualified teachers that promote positive learning experiences. Ms. Blackwell believes great things happen when a partnership is formed between student, parents, and community.

Ms. Blackwell lives in St. Johns, with her three beautiful children. Her oldest child Elizabeth has graduated from MSU, her second child Carrie is a junior at MSU, and her son Adam is a recent graduate of Fowler Public Schools and will attend the MSU Agri-Science program.  In her spare time she enjoys friends, family, camping, and decorating projects.
